MY ATP has a rainbow on the lcd sometimes

Some times , I notice that the LCD has a rainbow look to it. It doesnt bother me any. I also noticed that it will disappear after a few minutes.

I was wondering if my lcd screen will stop working because of it. Also I dont know if I should contact Garrett for a repair.
 
Nothing wrong with it, there is a thin film over the actual screen and you get the rainbow or a blurry line when they come in contact with each other.

Cold and heat makes it more noticeable at times. Note whatever that thin film is it's crazy tough. I have dropped rocks on my screen and cracked it and the thin film still kept the water out for the rest of the season. :wow:
 
Sounds like it's a normal occurrence. Mine has it. I notice my polarized sunglasses really make it stand out. :cool:
 
Look for the gold pot symbol appearing in the top left corner.
I stabbed my face plate with my leshe ( not by choice) it's still holding up.
 
its all normal....you also may get a black line through your vdi numbers..the rainbow is caused from temp changes etc....if you get a black line contact Garrett and they will send you a new face plate to put on..very easy.
