It says "Plymouth Binder" in the lower left quadrant backwards. Thats what makes me think that it might be a proof.

What do you mean a proof? You thinking like a printing plate? If the text is backwards, it would be quite okay to assume it's a printing plate for labeling or whatever for Plymouth Binder Twine. Would be cool to find out how the plate made it to TX though, especially since their mfg and distribution was outta the north east. But hey, a cool little relic likely from the around the WWII era, a few years before even. Can you get a better, unblurry image?

Yes, printing plate is what I was trying to say. I found this in a in a yard of a house that was built in 1935. It was occupied till a few years ago when the owner died and is now boarded up. The coins were at 2 to 3 inches and mostly 1970s to 1980s. I found this at about 10 inches deep. The only "Plymouth Binder" I could find was the twine company. But, I could not find any pictures that have this image.
