My Carrot is unhappy.

Got a Carrot for Christmas. I only use it at the beach since I have a couple of the original pinpointers that I use on dry land. The Carrot has maybe 5 minutes of use on it but I've noticed when I'm trying to find an elusive target with it, it sings out but when it gets close to the target, it screams like it's being overloaded.

Is anybody else having a similar issue with theirs?

I haven't had issues with mine and I have had it for over a year now. When you turn it on, make sure the tip is pointed up away from the ground as it will ground balance to the ground which causes falsing. That's the only thing I have noticed with mine. A very good pinpointed and I love the three different settings. It lets you hone in on your target.

I find the three different settings a bit of a nuisance ,just tell me where the target is and shut up don't need all that from a pinpointer.

Mine did that a couple months after I got it. A battery change solved the problem. Apparently, carrots get angry when they're low on juice....

Yep, happens to me all the time. It's the battery.
