Went two for two on door knocks this afternoon with JD. First knock was a 30s home on corner lot. We had high hopes, but discovered a lot of dirt work.

I did pick up 4 wheats, the Chinese Cash Coin and my random 3 ringer. The town did have some civil war activity, but surprised me in a 30s yard.

I also picked up a brass item that I wasn't quite sure what it was. Turned out to be a vintage Handsaw Medallion...says Phenix Trade Mark Warranted.

Next we found a 1928 brick home on a small corner lot and got the go ahead. 3 minutes in 5 feet from the truck I got a silver Dime tone and popped a 1943 Merc, silver 35 FTY. After a couple hours I had picked up 13 wheats dating back to 1919, but no more silver. I also picked up what I think is a Japanese coin.

I did pick up another amazing Token. It is Scrip from The Consolidation Coal Company for use in their company stores and used to pay employees. First one I have found and research tells me it is highly collectible. Have to finish my research, but a great find.

JD picked up a Merc and about a dozen wheats. Soil was great for digging and weather was perfect.

Any one with info on the Cash Coin and Japanese coin please let me know. Thanks.

That script token is really cool as are the rest of your finds. Good hunt!

Thanks Jam. I find a lot of tokens in this area of the country. The south was very poor following the War of Northern Aggression.

Congrats with your success! Man, you're having a great year, keep it up!

Thanks bv. Hoping I can keep it going.

Congrats on the Merc, wheats, skeleton key and the rest of the digs!

Thanks Captain.

Looks like a great hunt! Love that token and key!

Thanks Coleminer. The Scrip token was a great find.
