I finished 2017 with ZERO gold found! ...Not in the water, beach, dirt or totters..not a thing eyeballed in a parking lot...a strangeness surrounded the entire year of 2017 for poor old Mud, always found gold before, No Big Deal right?...Like asking a homely girl to the Prom? I took it for granted I knew what I was doing maybe? Suave and wise to the ways of Gold?...Hubris?

Like the 'Big Zero' is never gonna happen to Me? I'm the wallflower? No trouble with my gear, health is fine, vehicle situation is 5x5, new set of waders,....no viable excuse, a voodoo curse most likely...

A truly Humbling Experience that precipitates a bit of introspection.....Gold is one Cruel Mistress!...lures in suitors with a wink and winsome smile, makes them pay for dinner and a movie, then slams the door?......Unrequited Love is a strong motivator for a suitor denied!!

Anyway, I'm gonna really rattle her keel in 2018 dammit!..No more Mr. Nice Guy!

The two rings came from the same park earlier this year. The larger one is marked 375 (9k), the smaller, fatter one doesn't have any markings, but I'm 100% sure it's gold, I just don't know which karat.

The pendant was found in a wood-chip playground earlier this year as well. I can see the marking and the 'k' in the loop thing at the top, but I can't read the number, it's too small!

Not a bunch but a couple nice ones. The chain was a chunker that I see on eBay for $1,500 and the bottom left ring was a chunk and a high-end piece that sells for around $1,500. Any gold is good gold.

I think everyone has already seen my few for the year. If not here they are again.

I think this has been my worst year in number of gold items, however the heavyweights made up for the lack in quantity.
