Hello everyone I am new to metal detecting, I am into electronics and history so this will be an interesting new hobby.

I have messed around with very basic metal detectors in the past, but this will be my first time with an entry level unit. I bought an almost new Bounty Hunter Pioneer 505 at a yardsale for $30, it came with 3 coils, the bag, and a few other things. Not a bad deal at all, which is why I decided to give the hobby a shot since I am an introvert that enjoys solo hobbies anyway!
 
The 505 is a great starter machine, I got one for my wife and I got an atpro, sometimes she finds more than I do! (sometimes).

Love the Handle, Pink Floyd is my favorite band!

Thanks everyone, I am located in Massachusetts right now so hopefully I find some old, OLD, treasure :D

Will soon be moving to FL, so I will hit the beaches there! I still think metal detecting in MA will be more fun, more history here.
