My first Large Cent...

...it just wasn't a US LC...same continent though, [emoji23]

Well, this morning I got out between showers to check a newly mowed city spot. Struck out as was all full dirt.

I had parked at an old, "hunted out" neighborhood park. On the way to the truck I said to myself try around this old group of trees for a few and go home. Got a nice tone with some depth. VID was just below a zinc at 82/83. Thought it would be a tab, but something sounded right...

Popped a beautiful green large coin. Turned out to be an 1892 Canadian Queen Victoria Large Cent.

This hobby has so many surprises! It is finds like this that keep me going!

Well congrats on your first. albeit not US. Look at it this way, 95% of the LC's found are US or British, soooo you just found a rare one. She's a beauty as well.
