This doesn’t look like much compared to the great coins so many of our regulars have dug, but it’s my oldest yet. It appears to be a 1796 to 1807 Copper. The lady got her first car ride!
I got this this afternoon at an old Fair Ground I recently discovered.
The day started out with the usual newer trash and some current clad. Then I began to work this area and the finds got different. This area just looked older. The manicured lawn that covers the athletic field was not there. Moss and weeds grow here. The junk got a lot older. I get this quarter signal. I look down and this token like coin is just below some tree leafs.
