Confused

This sort of looks like a thimble or a light pull-however-it is lead. The weight is 31.2 grams and there are no markings that I can find. Everyone that has seen it are as confused as I am. Thanks for the help.

That is a Foster style shotgun slug. Could be from the forties right up until today.

I found one exactly like it one time and thought I too had a thimble.. someone on this forum set me straight as well.. Nice find !
