Figured I should say hello... new to the hobby, my ace 400 should be here tomorrow! Can't wait to get out and do some digging! If anyone has any ideas/tips on detecting up here is love heat any ideas or tips!
 
Welcome from Nebraska. I have a friend who lives in Northern Minnesota. That's a beautiful part of the country.

The old logging camps and the housing areas of some old mines should still be producing interesting finds. I really enjoyed my time in Grand Rapids MN. Good luck and ask a lot of questions from the "old folks" to give your self an edge up.
 
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! And the mining camp idea was a great one! I don't know why I didn't think of it... was lucky enough to get out for a couple hours yesterday and found a little clad, but the ground here is still frozen solid about 4 in down. Hoping spring comes soon!
