I know there is another thread just below this about Myer's, but I had my own personal and great experience.
I live in the Tampa Bay area, and I'm about the newest newbie in this hobby. I was going to order a pinpointer and beach scoop online from another FL retailer, but I like to be able to touch/feel things, and as I own a small business myself I prefer to support others.
Phil was great! I had pretty much decided on a Nokta waterproof pinpointer, but Phil doesn't carry them. He has the Garrett's and the White's. When I got there he let me know that the White's TRX was on sale for less then what I was going to pay for the Nokta, and as I knew the TRX had a great reputation, it didn't take much for me to decide.
I was also able to get a great beach scoop for less then I expected! And, he threw in a pouch as well.
One of the best things was he was able to look at my (new to me) TreasurePro that I picked up cheap at a pawn shop, and verify it was working properly. He also was willing to go over the basics of it's use. When a business owner will take the time to show someone how to use a machine that wasn't bought from them, it really says something.
So in a nutshell, even as much as I dislike going into Tampa, Phil will be my go-to shop for my future digging needs.
Thanks Phil!
