Hello, I'm from the Jonesboro, AR area. I have played with a few metal detectors over the years but nothing with the technology that they have today.

I had an old Fisher that was 20 years old or better and it final quit working. The wife bought me a new Tracker IV for Christmas and it relit the fire that I have had about metal detecting.

I have been trying to find some info about hunting in my area and that has turned into a nightmare. Can you hunt or not? Where can you hunt?

I am hoping to find other folks in the Jonesboro area that I can talk to and learn the ropes. There are no clubs within a hundred miles that I have found so far.

The Tracker IV seems to be a decent machine. I haven't had a chance to use it very much between work and the 9 degree weather we are having. It's a little too cold to be scratching dirt.
