They are excellent on a minelab. Hard to beat them. Only down fall is that they add a little more weight to the machine.

They allow you to hear the same sounds in your headphones as you hear through the coil. So if your particular machine picks up the high sounds for silver and the low sounds for iron the Sunray probes are perfect and worth the money !!!

I love my Sunray X1. It does add a little weight, but honestly....after the first day swinging with it, I don't even notice it. I love being able to differentiate between 2 different targets in a hole. Don't have to worry about losing it either.

I absolutely LOVED my X-1 probe on my E-Trac, and I still miss it 2 years later with the CTX.

Not only do they add weight, but on the explorers they really throw off the balance. Not sore about other machines.

That depends entirely on how you mount it!

Thanks I am really glad I have two of them. I have had them for several years not getting much use lately but I am ready to start again this winter. Is sunray even in business at all anymore?
