Old farm

First good hunt in quite a while. I severed 3 tendons, ring and both pinkey, in my right hand back in June. I was at an old farm with the in-laws. Got a bunch of cast iron, cans, a piece i can't id, and what I think is a WWI Army uniform button. This is my first ever button.

Does anyone know if using the ugly box electrolysis unit will damage the button.

Yea, it is part of an old bottle of some kind. It was in the same hole as several of the flat cast iron pieces.

Total guess. Was this along Hwy 17 somewhere? (A detector I only met once texted me that he saw guys detecting along 17. I think he was checking to see if it was me. )

Eagle on that button? I think I have the same button. First button for me as well. The back clasp looks exactly like that.
