Found in an old German town not far from where I will be living in Germany. Can anyone ID the button for me please? BTW....This is my first gold. 14K!

No. I hunted a patch of grass about 20 meters by 20 meters and I dug these two hits plus one more. The third was a sliver of steel or something of the sort. The button was roughly 4 inches deep and the ring was about 3 inches.

I have a few people telling me the button is from WW1/ A button off of a German Soldiers coat. I have others who found these and gave me a website that suggests its Prussian. I don't know which way to go. If it is Prussian its definitely older than WW1.

I collect WW1 militaria it's a prussian WW1 button off a tunic.
