I have talked to this gent online some.
He has loaned me some older equipment to try out just recently.
Very experienced detectorist, and does collect older detectors.
Heck of a find.
This is not his first ever gold coin found I don't think. Pretty sure.

I saw that. Pretty amazing to find something like that the first time out with a new detector. When you're on park 2 or field 2 the multi is skewed to the high frequencies so I guess that hits hard on gold.
