Hi there, yes, I just did 2 months of detecting in Krabi and Ko Lanta Thailand .... about 2 kg of coins, a few silvers but mostly crusty clad, and about 20 kg of trash (which I of course removed from the beach) up to and including a long tail boat propeller that was sheared off with the shaft still inside! 1 small gold chain and a couple of 925 rings..... I hunted everywhere from the dry to the lowest water, (Equinox 800), to below the water snorkelling with the Garrett Sea Hunter Mk II.... I have to say... people just don't seem to take much gold to the beach in Thailand! But it was a great experience and burned a few calories.... lol Saw one other detectorist in Ao Nang and one in Ko Lanta. Pretty quiet but perhaps people know they aren't going to find much. Hopefully I saved a few people from getting cut feet on the smashed bottles with the caps on......
