I found this near an old home site/farm that has produced a musket ball, infintry button and other farm related items. I ran it through my electrolysis tank. On one side I can make out a "1 0". There are two more letters or numbers I can not make out. I was thinking a leg to a stove maybe.

Thanks. I can see a skillet handle. Not sure how it attached, though. Almost seems like the "foot" was made to sit on the ground. Must be more of the attachment point broken off than appears.

The more I look at it, the more I think you guys are right. Funny, it's not a very comfortable handle in your hand, but maybe they were not too concerned about that back then.

I believe that is a handle to remove a hot plate off a wood burning kitchen stove......?

If it's a Cast Iron Skillet that would be a TWO hander.
May feel a little different that way !
It's not really that big if you look at the pic with the pen. A 10" skillet is not that heavy.

It looks like the handle broke off with part of the side.
