Button, bridle rosette, or other? --> SOLVED - OTHER: reflector light (WAY off)

Found this red glass object today with a fancy pattern to it - if a bridle rosette then it seems small compared to others I've seen online? Any ideas or a possible age range? Thanks!

I found one of those awhile back, I'm pretty sure mine was not red though? Idk it was awhile ago lol great find good to see your getting out!
 
Yes Indicator light, they are called pilot lights ,used on many things
I had an old desiel army generator that had them.
 
Thanks everyone for your replies, I think I can say this one is solved now. I was WAY off. Not a button. Not a bridle rosette.

I saw them in several different colors online, so it's possible it was still the same thing.
