I live in a 1930's house. My yard is where I learned to MD. Pinpointing, digging plugs, all practiced in my yard before I set off to tackle parks and other places.
In return, my yard has given me my very first coin find, my first silver coin find, my first silver jewelry find, and some really neat relics.

Today I was up early to beat the heat and do yardwork. I first had to edge everything and then come back and cut the grass. As I began to cut the front yard I looked down and see a beautiful Wheatie just laying on the sidewalk. Apparently, my weed-eater had dislodged it from the edge of the sidewalk.

Not a detector find, but another 1950 D Wheatie to add to the collection.
