I finally was able to spend some solid time on this project yesterday and it paid off well. In addition to what you see pictured here I dug at least 100 pull tabs plus other iron and junk out of the old exposed beach sand long buried. I was hoping for some old gold, but it did not happen. Still I was able to make some good finds, enjoy a nice day by the water, and get some exercise. Finds include a brass boat handle, a piece from a Bray's Special gas lamp, four silvers, etc, plus a few eyeball finds of buttons, clay pipe stem, part of a hutch bottle, etc. I'll keep going back and hope to make some more finds as they move the dirt and sand around more this week.
