Today is my 44th birthday and I finally got a (cheap) metal detector. I've wanted one for my entire life. Of course it is raining like crazy here so I havent got to use it yet. I found these threads and they seemed a lot better than my local group.

If you find the make/model you can usually find an instructional video on youtube where someone with the same model shows how to get the most out of what it can do.
