Today I did a quick hunt in the San Diego and found a beach with some decent sand movement. I ended up digging a 14k and a silver ring. I had my detector set to eliminate pennies and dimes. There was black sand everywhere.

Unfortunately I hit the 14k with the scoop and bent it. I will put it on a ring sizer and fix it.

:dingding: Nice looking gold and that silver is so thin! I've never seen one that thin on here.

Red stone gold ring looks like it may be older! Very nice save!!

Well done! Always good to have a mandrel and soft faced hammer. Even if you don't hit rings with a scoop the pressure from scooping sand can bend them. I hammer out several rings back to a circle.

Maybe I'm being stupid, but the silver ring looks like it may be gold. Do you acid test your finds. If you put 18k acid on silver stripes on the stone it lights up very bright white to a purplish color. Very nice finds btw!!
