S & C Maybe??

Hello all...dug this yesterday at an old home site that was near an old railroad here in NC with my AT Pro...I think it reads S & C with small 0 to the right...I haven't cleaned the back good, but doesn't look like a button...front appears to have been painted black, some of the paint remains...
