One day I found 23 wheat pennies, and that made 40 in a row, in three days, before I finally found a silver dime. Funny, I then found three silver dimes in a row, all 1964's. Personally, I am more impressed with the four Mercury Dimes.
I just remembered, one day I dug 64 wheat pennies, and six silver dimes, all in one front yard of a 50's house.
You did good. I love wheats too.

Most people put Wheat's down but for some reason - after 8 years of hunting I still enjoy finding them.
Your better off finding a few Wheat's than leaving with nothing at all.
But the best thing about Wheat Cents is that they tell you there could be Silver coins in the area !

Love the wheats
Wheats are fun to find! Plus, if you are finding them it always gets me thinking silver is that next signal away! They can also tell you a lot about a site. If I find a bunch of wheats I start digging the low signals too. Higher chances for nickels and others odds and ends!

Wheaties are definitely a good indicator of the presence of silver!

I would personally prefer finding a couple wheats as opposed to a handful of clad. Just my opinion though.
