I feel your pain. I found countless of those fakes over my years of detecting..As you said who would bother to even purchase these....Keep at it. The real stuff is still out there. HH !

Oh, that has to be aggravating. As to who would buy those, here's a little story...
Back a few years ago one of my husband's sisters was in a huge tizzy about where could Mom's squash blossom necklace be! She hunted and searched and finally found this necklace, after several days of worrying me over the thing since it's rare and valuable. I mean, I heard about that thing non-stop until she found it.
Well, when I finally got to see the storied necklace that had her all wound up in knots, it turned out to be a pot metal costume squash blossom with plastic "turquoise" sets. I just about died over that one. So, that's who would buy them. Some people just do not have the "how to tell good jewelry from not good jewelry gene".
