I'm heading for r&r in VA. I,m using my xt 505 , I have two coils. The 9" stnd
coil and the 10.5" DD coil. other than the larger coil covering more ground, wich one would be better for VA soil. I'm detecting an old 800 acr Planation.

Take both, then you'll be prepared regardless!

The 10.5" DD will deal with the Va minerals better due to it's looking at a smaller total volume of soil in the detection field.

Thanks, This will be the first time using the 10.5DD in VA.I'll bring both. Thats what i love about this forum, If you need help, there is always sombody to give you help.
