Default Unknown pattern for German epaulette

Hi folks, even the sun was burning so hot today, I was out for detecting in the forests near Stuttgart/Germany. I found this brass pattern likely for a German epaulette. I guess it's an H, but I'm not sure.
Any ideas on that??? Thx in advance!

My first guess was that it could be a wkI one. I will look in that catalogue later.

For wkII i only know the Grossdeutchland epolets, but that doesn't fit with yours as you can see.

I too am unable to find any reference to this insignia, but the letter is a "Fraktur" h. A gothic style alphabet, perhaps this will help in further researching.
