Cleaned out my trash bucket yesterday that i dump better junk in for scrap.Scraped this thing to see what metal was and gunk fell off reveling shinny silver. It was encased in iron and ash.Probably from one of the demo sites in past few weeks. It is not lead, not steal or stainless steel.Shinny silver.Hard medal. And where it is cracked is same metal all the way threw. It has 4 big stars and 2 over lapping C like patterns on big part. And big star with flower like pattern on top.May be pewter. No idea.I cannot get some of the ash off.Very neat thing what ever it is.

Is it magnetic?
If not, it still probably isn't silver.
Get a test kit, they're cheap.
Most likely what they call pot metal.
Silver is mainly used for jewelry, art or for its conductivity and is usually marked.
(I.e. "Sterling" or 925)

Interesting tho. Good Hunting

Cool find. Probably not silver IMHO. Too bad it doesn't have the actual print plate on it. It would have been cool to see what it may have been used for. GL and HH. Matt
