Multi Kruzer magic

Got out for a little bit at my iron infested hunted out park by my house with my new Makro multi Kruzer and pulled this 1928 Buff nickel out of an 8 inch hole along with these 2 massive bent nails. Where did your Buff' ring up on, with the Kruzer?

Between 28-32?

It was kind of strange, it was jumping from the mid thirties up to the seventies, I thought it might have been a penny because nickels usually hit lower than that. I air tested a nickel and it gave me a 27 on the vdi. It was my first time out with this machine so I still have to learn what its telling me. Pretty sure its a lot like the Racers I have had.
