Does anybody have advice on a way to preserve and extend the life of these foam type ear muffs on headphones? Mine are stereophonic and not really "tough" for use in summer heat and salty sweat. Thanks in advance.

I have read that the best you can do is clean them regularly, and use Armorall on them. But that was for ones made for metal detecting.

On my Detector Pros (plastic) I wipe them down after every hunt. It has made a heck of a difference in keeping them soft.

On my Killer Bees (leather) I mink oil lightly every few months, then a slightly moist washcloth wipe them off each outting.
