That works.
My bag I got from Kellyco with my detector was stolen
from the beach. I was looking for something else, and
using a backpack now.
I saw some duck bags on the internet that float. Do you know
if the compartments are big enough to place a dismantled
detector and small sand scoop inside?

Hello,
this one is a china import.Probably you find one of these there in
the US. I am guessing should I visit some site I have in mind,it will
take at least a pair of days to explore those hills more or less properly.
Besides, if I must move alone and perhaps in bus and later spend the
night in some nearby lodging - you need most freedom of movement
you can get.
I like that bag! It's also manlier than the red one I currently use!

don't they have bags big enough to hold the detector fully assembled?

I made a bag for my Silver Sabre out of one used to carry baseball equipment. I had to cut the rear ot the top compartment to allow the rod to fit into the extended part where the bats normally go. It's a tight fit, but it works. I haven't tried to see if it will handle my Ace 250 yet. I think they are about the same length. I believe that some bags are longer than others.
