A guy i know through facebook posted this photo. His name is Brian L. Very candid photo of how much a monster lake michigan is. It goes to show why our gold is 3 feet under the sand.

Yep...a 5 yr tide! We were able to hunt the really old sandbars and troughs just full of old stuff... Remember that? You found some really great old gold and silver back then...It came up so fast this time it took me a year to figure it out...Its about dead flat right now, calling for 30mph West winds and 11 footers on Monday though...I'm heading out..

I wasted a lot of time sticking to a pattern that no longer produced...Its over your head now at the end of that jetty...Good pic there Sturrat!

Yep. Looking at many of the breakwaters (piers) I am familiar with there isn't a whole lot of structure sticking out of the water this summer.
Heeeey, wasn't some famous guy claiming the Great Lakes were going to dry up not so long ago? :laughing:
