1983 british pound

I was detecting a place near my job on my lunch break. I found .75 in clad, and this 1983 british pound. 1983 was the first year they went to the pound coin.

I also found a fork I am going to try cleaning up to see if it has any makers marks.

Mass 9.5 g

Never knew they had a "pound" coin. I came back from Europe/Germany in 1980.
