I dug up a coffin....

Dug this little metal coffin at a local park yesterday. Small magnet latch and an image of a quarter inside. The quarter is part of the bottom not loose and is much smaller than a dime. Any ideas what this is? Maybe part from a game.

Seems to me that it has something to do with luck or maybe day of the dead traditions... can't really find anything to explain what the coin in the casket means or represent symbolically.

That coin makes me think that the coffin might be part of a magic trick! "Shrinking Quarter" or something like that. Palm the full sized quarter and then Hey Presto! It's tiny!

According to the etsy link, it's a goth thing, so it may be to put a coin in to pay the ferryman to take you across the river Styx when you die.
