I hit up an old house that I have hit up a few times before. It has always given me something. Sunday was no different!

I dug up this piece and at first thought it was another ball jar lid, but then I noticed the lead mixed in with the soil.

Second find was an 1864 2 cent piece. It is still soaking in olive oil to try and get the rest of the debris off.

Thanks for looking and happy hunting.

Great finds, too bad about the breast plate but you never know there could be another one waiting for you to find it.

That's a nice 2 cent and a poor breast plate is better than no breast plate. Don't ask me how I know.

Congrats!!!!!

Thanks everyone!

At least I found one. It would have been nice if it was in better condition, but I'm not complaining.

Regardless of its condition, that is still a righteous find! I'd be thrilled to come across one even in that condition! That 2 center is good looking - their patina always holds up really nice!

I was also thinking it was shot, if so that would make it to me even more significant ! Great finds either way ,Congrats !
