I went out this evening, before the skeeters took over the curb strip.
First street I detected I found clad and one wheat....
The second street I went down.
I saw a lady just getting finished mowing her lawn.
(Opportunity to ask)
I introduced my self,
and asked if I could try along the side walk...
cutting me off mid sentence,
you'd like to try detecting my yard....?
I said yes, but I'd like to try along the side walk first.
She said not a problem.
Now, the grass was very over grown.
(I think the city told her to mow it)
The thatch was so thick,
I was flipping globs of grass away, so I could swing my coil.
First signal was a 13:46, 6 " deep.
I popped out a SLQ!
Second signal, five feet away, same signal....41 GW!
Now I'm thinking....
Oh man, is this gonna be great!
Then the skeeters started to show up diving into my face & neck,
Time for my mesh head net..
(Looks funny but it helps)
Next few targets were all about the same depths ,5 wheats, (1910,14,19, 26, 51) and one Indian. (1903)
I also found a skeleton key.
And a 39 Jefferson.
I had to call it quits for the evening, on account of darkness.
Think I'll go back and rake her lawn, not just with the CTX either!

A little yard work can go a long way...maybe she'll tell her bridge partners over afternoon tea and you'll get some more permissions

Fantastic hunt, DD! An SLQ is still waiting on my bucket list! Skeleton key is quite cool too - I've got a soft spot for unusual keys
