Hey everyone,

I am still very new to the hobby, thanks for all the great info.

I have an opportunity to go to a river this weekend and I was thinking about bringing a detector, I will be working with an AT Pro so I dont mind getting it wet.

My question is do you guys hunt in very rocky rivers, as this one is, or is the digging impossible? Thanks in advance.

I do hunt quite a bit in the rivers.
You have got to have a good quality scoop, preferably a stainless steel scoop or a aluminum scoop with a stainless steel lip.
Hopefully you have done some research on the particular location that you plan to hunt. I usually hunt areas that were old swimming holes or wharfs or other gathering places.
The rocks are definatly very tough to dig in. I dig pretty much all targets other than iron.
Good Luck!
Jack

I just ordered my AT pro and there are quite a few creeks and rivers around me so I would love to know how it works out for you Good Luck and HH:yes:
