Lake or river hunting

I have a nice lake with many shallow parts and a few good river banks around me, im planning to detect the lake in the morning. Was wondering do people have better luck in lakes or river banks? Both have a good amount of people daily.

I'd say the lakes only because of currents. Rivers can cover up targets quickly..........................see ya yardhunter
