Had a very short period of time to hunt while driving to my daughters soccer game this past Tuesday night. For the last couple years I've been driving past an broken down home on my way to work. Guess the owner finally figured out that he'd never sell with that wreck on his lot and he had it removed about a month ago. Stopped and had been hunting about 10 minutes when i got a strong signal and pulled this Hickok belt buckle out of the ground! It was about 5 inches down, near an small tree. I'm so used to seeing the much larger buckles around these days and didn't recognize it for a buckle at first. Finding the buckle basically ended by hunt as it was getting dark and I didn't realize that I had scored silver, or GOLD, until I was in the car driving to the game. I carry a loupe with me and first saw the "Hickok Sterling" then the "10K Gold Inlay"!! A happy drive indeed. The buckle isn't in great shape but I think it cleaned up pretty nicely.
