Today I bought this very old spoon, which I guess
is from the late 18th century to 1800.
It is so old that I couldn't ID the 2 seals on the back side.
I wish a happy weekend to every member of this forum :)

Try rubbing some graphite powder over those marks... it may show them up legible enough to read. RickO

Good advice.Thanks
I can try but as I said, the spoon is in a very worn out
condition.
I choosed this one from among a dozen similar ones.
The seller told me he has also some pewter dishes just
as old back home.
All dating from Napoleon Bonaparte's period or even earlier.
If I happen to meet him next saturday, there is a good chance
to buy one of these. I have been after one of those dishes for
some time now:roll:
