Hi my name is tony i am from Minnesota i just started detecting last year 2017. I have a pretty good place to learn i live on a farm that was homesteaded in 1875ish give or take a few years.

Best finds so far 5 Indian head penny 1880,1888,1889,1900,1907

using a BH but looking to save and get a AT pro or Max, totally addicted to this.:laughing:

Sounds like a great place to practice. My house was built in the late 1800's. Waiting for the ground to thaw so I can get out there.

Welcome Tony from sunny White Bear Lake Minnesota. Don't forget to hunt around older large trees. Back then some stashed their money at the base of trees for safe keeping. Check around old cloths line areas. Sometimes money fell out of pockets when hung to dry. Cellar areas, near doorways and old foundations, even old out houses. Good luck..
