congrats anyway - Not many ppl own a counterfeit coin, you can probably find collecters, who will value it higher just because it's counterfeit!!

Still that is pretty cool. Bet you never find another counterfeit. Sometimes a counterfeit can be worth more than the real deal. I found a counterfeit Morgan a couple summers back. Pretty cool but I would trade it for the real deal any day of the week!

I'd take the counterfeit over just a normal run of the mill SLQ... it's more interesting and probably has a much more interesting story behind it!
 
You found a great piece of history. Imagine the story behind that coin. Better than most real silver in MHO. Hope you reach 50 soon!
 
Pretty cool find!

If it is depression era or prior, I could see it as a museum piece, since it shows, or could show if prepared just right, the rusted steel underneath, like a cutaway would.
 
Counterfeit is pretty cool! I'm not for sure,(as I've yet to find a slq) but I would probably take a counterfeit any day. Just plain interesting!
