A friend found a 30lb parrott bolt in his yard 40 years ago while digging at his house. It has been used as door stop for 30 years.

He is planning to put it in a local museum. I told him I would ask the forum it value.
Thank for the help!

The FMDF has alot of members that do all kinds of detecting. I though that a least one of the cilvil war hunters/collector would have an idea or input into the value of this shell. I was wrong, out of a 100+ viewing not one reply. I have seen that you can buy repilcations
so the real thing has to have value.

I will take my search in anohter direction, thank you anyway for looking.

Well just maybe out of those 100 people...they just don't have the experience to put a value on it...don't get mad at us because we're not smarter than you...

you need to learn patience..your post was up..what..one evening and night. If it has 100 views and with 25000 members it was actually seen by very few people.
As for the price, $300-400, depending of condition...if yours is solid the it's parrot bolt, they are cheaper than shells especially if they still have fuses.
