I pulled out the old detector today and am not getting any sound at all. Tried changing the batteries and resetting but still no luck. Any suggestions???
If you're using headphones try without or vice versa. I've had no sound once on an older bounty hunter and inserted headphone jack in and out a few times and it started working. Machine work otherwise?
Guessing the headphone jack in the machine is dirty or bad. They have an internal switch that disables the speaker when the headphone plug is inserted.
Took the detector out the other day and hit a few bottle caps and what not with the headphones in. Gonna go to radio shack and get me a headhphone jack solder it to an external speaker and mount it to the handle with a hose clamp or u-bolt????
