Old old marble in copper?

Hi I was wondering if anyone could I'd this find? Happy hunting!
The farm I found it on dates back to the 1800s.

That looks like an interesting find but the picture is a little blurry. Perhaps you could try cleaning the lens on your camera and focusing the shot again?

I have a wind chime that has a dinger like that.

I was just gunna say, absolutely looks like a piece off of a wind chime. Cool find!

People have been wrapping marbles in copper wire as long as marbles and wire have been around. If you can get a better pic of the marble, someone may be able to ID it.

Copper looks like it was dropped yesterday. Dont think its old

Glass marbles came out around 1900, so no older than that. Copper is quite new

It probably would have went to something like this, although I'm sure they did put some on string for necklaces too...
