Any cons to a newbie buying an AT Pro

Thanks for the advice everyone. It arrived yesterday. Was able to get out in my yard for probably 45 minutes. Found a bunch of junk and one penny...its a start.

Going to my cottage this weekend. Between our lot and some neighbors, I've got around 5 acres I can detect with homes going back to the early 1900's. Also, plenty of beach to detect. I plan on getting a lot of detecting time in.

Congrats on picking a great machine. I'm sure you'll love it!

Any drawbacks? Yes. It can take time to learn well, and if you are not patient or willing to put in the time it will frustrate you.
