Got my new E-trac yesterday , cant wait to try it out this Weekend

I think I will start in the stock coins mode and take it from there

Thanks, No I dont have his book I will have to look out for a copy
I have upgraded from the X-terra 705
This looks a lot different, But have been watching as many you tube videos as possible
So i'm raring to go !!

Bart has that book available also around $20 I have it and its worth the money.

Check out "goes4ever" etrac settings. I started using the etrac with exactly those settings, and have been steadily learning the machine.
I got about 25 hours on the etrac, and have a bunch of wheats and a merc to show for it.

Don't get frustrated, it will take time to train your ears to the sounds.

Thinking about trading my v3i for etrac not necessarily that I think its a better machine but do think the learning curve is much better

also a big help is to download the etrac emulator plus a couple of the US coin zip files, this will help ya navigate around the menu, learn to change & save settings plus learn the tones & VDI

What is the book ? Is it metal detecting or about metal detectors it both?

its like a handbook for the etrac & explorer....shows settings and what they do
the owners manual is pretty bare bones

Thanks for all the help guys, I tried to download a coin program for it yesterday, but with no avail! I guess I will have to do more reading on it, I dont know if its just me or what lol, But it seems pretty complicating to download patterns
