temps cooled down to 86 yesterday. So went to my favorite 1800's old home site in Decatur. Found two 100 year old shotgun head stamps and a square nail. Not valuable, but old telling me I am hunting in the right place.

Good finds! I've found a zillion similarly old shotgun shells on my farm though, and a grand total of ONE old coin, a 1885 IHP. Still looking for silver, but this place isn't giving it up.

Looks like you made a fantabulous return on your 30-30 investment! At this rate you will need to buy into the scrap metal business  Hate to say it but the Ace 250 may have done just as well! But if you really want to move up check out the bounty hunter 2.
