Hey folks, I hope you all have had a great Thanksgiving. I figure I would post a couple more hunts I had earlier in the week, yesterday and Tuesday. Tuesday I went with my buddy to a honey hole spot out in the woods. This site has given up plenty since we started coming here last year. My buddy dug an awesome gold ring, that's probably around 100 years old. I knew I wasn't going to match that, on this hunt, but I worked my butt off in our short hunt there and pounded an iron infested area in the site. This area had lots of traffic back from the 1920's through the 1970's. We pounded just about every inch of this place, and dug all of the easy ones, and even almost all the junk and garbage signals, just about everything but foil and iron, however, there are still a few areas that are so infested with iron, that if you go super slow, you can still pick off a good one or two. That's what I tired to do, and I was rewarded with a 1942 Walker. But here is the mind blowing part, look at the iron bolt that was right next to it! It was my last plug here, and the night had arrived, and we had to go. I took a picture with the flash on my phone of the coin and the iron bolt it was next to. I still don't know how I picked up the signal. The signal was so diluted by iron, you could barely hear it. Just a squeak, but I knew that in this area, you have to take a chance on those falsing iron signals. Anyway I dug a Merc, Buffalo, and an IH penny earlier in the hunt. Yesterday I went to a pounded park, a place that in probably 90 percent of the park you won't find good signals, but I like to hit the uncomfortable spots, and hard to hit areas, and I located an area, where I dug four silver quarters, and one that was an older Canadian one, also the 1935 Washington was in the hole with a Merc, and wheat. I also dug a few silver dimes earlier in the hunt, along with a Buffalo, and an 1899 IH penny. I rarely ever hunt as much as I did this week, but it felt good, enjoying the outdoors, the crisp cool weather, having fun with a good friend of mine, and also all the silver was a good bonus too! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, I sure did spending the whole day with my family, and watching some good football games, and having some excellent food. Thanks for looking and Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!
